No City-Wide Wi-Fi

Here is an interesting story. Chicago has decided that installing a "City-wide Wi-Fi" network is not worth it. To me, how could this not be worth it?

Imagine a park without benches... Sounds kind of lame. I think the same can be said about a major city without Wi-Fi. While it may not seem necessary, it can only be proven useful after the fact.

People who cannot afford internet, or business men taking the subway, will be surfing the web and doing work at incredible rates. The city can increase its jobs and literacy rates and get full use of everything the Wi-Fi network offers. If you build it, they will come...
